Airbus A320 Type Rating
The Airbus A320 family includes the A318, A319, A320, A321 jet airliners as well as the ACJ business jet. Only one type rating is required to fly these Airbus aircraft, as they have similar flight decks. With almost 7,500 airframes still in service the A320 is one of the world’s most popular jetliners.
If you are considering a type rating to make yourself more marketable, the Airbus A320 should be on your short list.
Airbus A330 Type Rating
The Airbus A330 is Airbus’ medium to long range aircraft with a range of 2,700 to 7,250 nmi. It can accommodate up to 335 passengers or carry 154,000 lbs of cargo. With more than 1,300 airframes in service, it ranks as one of most popular aircraft in the long-range twin engine jetliner category.
Airbus CCQ Courses
A key component of the Airbus design strategy has been to harmonize the cockpit design across its fleet. This approach allows crews to more easily transition from one Airbus airframe to another.
The term “CROSS CREW QUALIFICATION” (CCQ) refers to a series of transition courses which allow qualified pilots to transition between Airbus aircraft with a reduced footprint by giving credit for the technical similarities and common operational and handling procedures.
